Injectables

Neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid fillers, performed under medical directive. Every injectable treatment begins with a consultation.

01Injectables
Botox & Dysport
Neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles, softening the appearance of fine lines and dynamic wrinkles. Commonly treated areas include frown lines, forehead, and crow's feet. Results look natural and refreshed, never frozen.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Botox & Dysport →
How long until I see results?

First subtle changes are usually visible at day 3 to 5 as the targeted muscles begin to relax. Full effect lands at day 10 to 14. Some people see Dysport kick in slightly faster than Botox. If you have a deadline, the 14-day window is your timing baseline.

How long does it last?

Typically 3 to 4 months, though it varies by metabolism, muscle strength, and activity level. People who exercise intensely often metabolize neuromodulators faster. Refreshers scheduled before the effect fully wears off tend to require less product over time.

Will my face look "frozen"?

Not when done conservatively. The goal is softer lines, not loss of expression. We start with a moderate dose, see how your face responds at the 2-week mark, and adjust at follow-up if needed. The "frozen" look is overcorrection, and it is not what we do here.

Can I tell people I had it done?

Of course. A well-done result usually does not give it away anyway. Friends often notice you look rested or refreshed without being able to pinpoint why. That is the result we are after.

Lip Filler
Hyaluronic acid filler used to add volume, shape, and definition to the lips. Whether you're seeking a subtle enhancement or a more sculpted look, your result is tailored entirely to your facial anatomy and personal goals. Beautiful, natural-looking lips, every time.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Lip Filler →
How natural will my result look?

It depends on the amount and placement. We do conservative work that respects your natural lip ratio. If you want subtle enhancement, you should look like yourself with slightly more defined or hydrated lips. If you want more, that is also a conversation worth having, with realistic expectations about what your face supports.

How much swelling should I expect?

Lip swelling can be dramatic in the first 24 to 72 hours. Lips often look noticeably larger than the intended final result. By day 5 to 7, most swelling has settled. By day 14, the result is settled and that is your true outcome. Plan accordingly if you have a social event coming up.

How long does it last?

Hyaluronic acid lip filler typically lasts 6 to 12 months for visible volume. The product breaks down with movement, metabolism, and time. Touch-ups before the result has fully faded usually require less product than the original treatment.

Can I get just a tiny bit, like half a syringe?

Yes. We offer half-syringe options for subtle enhancement or first-time clients who want to start slow. Many people find half a syringe is the right amount for their face. There is no expectation to use a full syringe just because you came in.

Facial Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to restore volume, refine contour, and support the natural architecture of the face. Common areas include the cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, and nasolabial folds. Filler can soften the appearance of age-related volume loss, balance proportions, and create a refreshed, well-rested look that still moves and reads as you. Treatment is tailored to your facial anatomy and goals, with conservative results in mind.
Package pricing available for two or more syringes booked in a single treatment plan. Pricing per syringe and total plan are confirmed in consultation, where Angela assesses your anatomy and recommends an approach.

Common questions about Facial Dermal Fillers →
What are dermal fillers, exactly?

Dermal fillers are gel-based products, most commonly made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin. When placed in specific layers of the face, filler adds volume, supports structure, and refines contour. Different filler families have different consistencies and are chosen based on the area being treated and the result you are after.

What areas can be treated?

Common areas include the cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, nasolabial folds (the lines from nose to mouth), and pre-jowl area. Treatment plans are built around the face as a whole, not isolated zones. Sometimes the best result for a specific concern comes from treating a different area entirely.

How much filler will I need?

That depends entirely on your face, your goals, and your starting point. Some plans use a single syringe; others span two or more syringes across more than one session. Angela assesses this in consultation and discusses pacing, including whether to spread treatment over time. Package pricing is available when two or more syringes are part of your plan.

How long does filler last?

Hyaluronic acid filler typically lasts 9 to 18 months, depending on the product, the area treated, your metabolism, and how expressive the area is. Areas of more movement (lips, around the mouth) tend to break the product down faster than more static areas (cheeks, jaw).

Is filler reversible?

Hyaluronic acid filler is reversible. An enzyme called hyaluronidase can dissolve it, partially or completely, in clinic. The change is visible within hours. This is one of the reasons HA filler is a thoughtful starting point for most people.

Will I look "done"?

Not when filler is placed conservatively and in the right layers, with respect for your facial proportions. The aim at Kallos & Co is enhancement that still reads as you, well-rested and refreshed. Treatment is paced and tailored to avoid the overfilled look.

Lip Flip
A small amount of neuromodulator is precisely injected into the muscles around the upper lip, causing it to gently roll outward. This creates the appearance of a fuller, more defined upper lip, without adding volume. A quick, minimal treatment with a beautiful effect.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Lip Flip →
How is this different from lip filler?

A lip flip uses a small dose of neuromodulator to relax the muscle around the upper lip, causing it to gently roll outward. Filler adds volume. A lip flip makes the lip look fuller without adding anything. They suit different goals and can sometimes be done together.

How long does the effect last?

A lip flip lasts about 8 to 10 weeks, shorter than typical neuromodulator treatments because the dose is smaller. It is best for people who want a subtle enhancement and are open to a touch-up every couple of months.

Will I be able to drink from a straw?

For the first few days, some people have trouble. The muscle around the lip is gently relaxed, which can affect activities that require a strong pucker. This usually resolves quickly. If you have an important wine-tasting coming up, plan accordingly.

Hyperhidrosis Treatment
Neuromodulator injected into the underarms to block the nerves that trigger sweat glands, significantly reducing excessive sweating. A safe, effective, and life-changing treatment for those affected by hyperhidrosis. Results typically last 6 to 12 months.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Hyperhidrosis Treatment →
How fast does it work?

Sweat reduction typically begins at day 3 to 7. Full effect is usually visible at 2 weeks.

How long does the result last?

Most people get 6 to 12 months of sweat reduction per treatment. Refreshers are scheduled when sweating begins to return.

Is the treatment painful?

It involves multiple small injections in the underarm area. Topical numbing or ice can reduce discomfort. Most people find it manageable, especially when the alternative is daily struggle with excess sweat.

Resurfacing and collagen-stimulating treatments. Best taken as a series, paired with consistent at-home skincare.

06Skin
Chemical Peel
A carefully chosen solution is applied to gently remove the outer layers of dead skin, revealing smoother, clearer, more even-toned skin beneath. Ideal for targeting fine lines, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and dull texture. Available as single sessions or packages of 3 for enhanced results.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Chemical Peel →
Will my skin actually peel?

That depends on the peel. Light superficial peels may cause subtle flaking that lasts a couple of days. Medium-depth peels can produce more visible peeling that lasts 5 to 7 days. We pick the strength based on your skin type, concern, and your tolerance for downtime.

How much downtime should I expect?

Light peels: minimal, you can typically wear makeup the next day. Medium peels: 5 to 7 days of visible peeling and dryness. Sun avoidance is non-negotiable for the full healing period. Plan around your schedule.

How many sessions do I need?

One session gives you a fresh, glowing look but is not a substitute for a series. For meaningful change in texture, tone, or scarring, a series of 3 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is typically recommended.

When can I wear makeup again?

For light peels, usually the next day. For medium peels, wait until peeling has resolved, typically 5 to 7 days. Mineral-based makeup is gentler on healing skin. We give you specific guidance after your treatment.

Microneedling
Tiny, controlled micro-punctures in the skin stimulate your body's natural healing response, encouraging collagen and elastin production. Effective for improving skin texture, minimising pores, reducing scars, and achieving a firmer, more radiant complexion. A series of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results.
Level up with a Pluryal skin booster (+ $75). Add a Pluryal skin booster serum to your microneedling session for deeper hydration and a smoother, more luminous finish. Choose Refresh for intensive hydration and a plumped, dewy look, or Radiance for brightening support and a more even, glowing tone. Available on basic microneedling only.

Common questions about Microneedling →
Does it hurt?

Topical numbing is applied before the treatment, which makes it tolerable for most people. The sensation is often described as a vibration or fine sandpaper. Some areas (around the nose, lip border) are more sensitive than others. We adjust depth and pace to your comfort.

How many sessions for visible results?

A series of 3 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is the typical course. Results build cumulatively as collagen rebuilds. Best results are visible 6 to 12 weeks after the final session.

What is a Pluryal skin booster, and what does it do?

Skin boosters are concentrated, topical serums designed to be delivered into the skin during a microneedling treatment. The microchannels created by the needling allow the active ingredients to absorb more effectively than if applied to intact skin. The result is deeper hydration, improved skin quality, and a smoother, more luminous finish in the days that follow. We offer two Pluryal options: Refresh, a hydration-focused booster for plumped, dewy skin, and Radiance, a brightening-focused booster for a more even, glowing tone. Available as an add-on to basic microneedling only, not with PRP or PRF.

Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

Yes, and often is. Microneedling pairs well with chemical peels, a Pluryal skin booster (Refresh or Radiance) added during the session, or a consistent skincare regimen at home. Combining with injectables is also common, but is sequenced carefully (typically injectables first, microneedling later, or with appropriate timing in between).

PRP Microneedling
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood is applied during microneedling, delivering growth factors deep into the skin. Amplifies collagen stimulation, accelerates healing, and improves overall skin quality, tone, and texture. A series of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results.

Optional upgrades that elevate a core treatment. Added during your session, not booked on their own.

+Add-On
Pluryal Skin Booster
Level up your microneedling session with a Pluryal skin booster. Skin boosters are concentrated, professional-grade serums delivered into the skin through the microchannels created by microneedling. Because the skin's outer barrier is gently bypassed during the treatment, the active ingredients absorb far more effectively than they could on intact skin, producing deeper hydration, improved skin quality, and a smoother, more luminous finish in the days that follow.
Choose between two Pluryal formulations:
  • Refresh — a hydration-focused booster for plumped, dewy, deeply quenched skin. Best for tired, dehydrated, or dull-feeling complexions.
  • Radiance — a brightening-focused booster for a more even tone and a luminous, lit-from-within glow. Best for uneven tone or a pre-event glow boost.
Available as an add-on to basic microneedling only. Not currently offered with PRP or PRF microneedling.
Book this add-on →
Common questions about Pluryal Skin Boosters →
What is the difference between Refresh and Radiance?

Refresh is designed for hydration. It deeply quenches the skin for a plumped, dewy finish, and is a great choice if your skin feels dry, dull, or tired. Radiance is designed for brightening. It supports a more even tone and a luminous glow, and is a great choice if uneven tone is something you want to soften, or if you want a pre-event glow boost. Angela can help you decide which is the better fit at your appointment.

Why is the booster delivered during microneedling?

Microneedling creates temporary microchannels in the skin. While they are open, professional-grade serums absorb meaningfully more deeply than they could on intact skin. This is why a booster paired with microneedling outperforms a serum applied at home, and why we offer them together rather than as a standalone treatment.

Can I add a skin booster to PRP or PRF microneedling?

No. Pluryal skin boosters are offered with basic microneedling only. PRP and PRF microneedling already deliver concentrated growth factors from your own blood into the skin, so a separate booster is not layered on top.

How much does a Pluryal skin booster cost?

$75 per session, added to your basic microneedling appointment. You can add a booster to a single session or to any session within a microneedling package of 3.

Vitamin B12 Injections
B12 injections deliver this essential vitamin directly into the body, bypassing the digestive system for faster, more complete absorption. Supports energy levels, nerve health, metabolism, and overall well-being. Available in packages of 6 for sustained benefit.
Book this treatment →
Common questions about Vitamin B12 →
Who benefits most from B12 injections?

People with diagnosed B12 deficiency, those on certain medications that affect absorption, vegetarians and vegans whose diet may limit intake, and people experiencing fatigue or low energy that has been investigated. B12 is not a cure for general tiredness. If you suspect deficiency, blood work is the right starting point with your physician.

How often do I need them?

For deficiency, an initial loading series followed by maintenance every 1 to 3 months is typical. For energy support, monthly is common. Frequency is individualized and best determined by your physician based on bloodwork.

Will I feel a difference right away?

Some people feel an energy lift within a day or two, others notice gradual improvement over weeks. If your B12 levels were genuinely low, the difference can be substantial. If they were normal, the effect is more subtle.

Injectables

What is Botox, and how does it actually work?

Botox (botulinum toxin) works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. When injected into specific facial muscles, it relaxes them, softening the lines that form when you frown, squint, or raise your brows. The effect is a smoother, more rested appearance that still allows full expression. Results typically last 3 to 4 months.

Injectable Basics
Injectables

Botox vs Dysport, what's the difference?

Both Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators that work the same way: they relax muscles to reduce lines and wrinkles. The key differences are in molecule size and diffusion. Dysport tends to spread slightly more, which can be beneficial for larger areas like the forehead. Some people find Dysport kicks in faster. Neither is "better"; it depends on your anatomy and goals.

Injectable Basics

What is hyaluronic acid filler, and is it safe?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in your body that attracts and retains moisture. HA filler is a gel-like substance injected into areas that have lost volume or definition (lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, and nasolabial folds). It's fully reversible with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. When performed by a trained injector, it's considered very safe with an excellent record.

The lip flip: what it is and who it's right for

A lip flip uses a tiny amount of neuromodulator injected into the orbicularis oris muscle around the upper lip. This relaxes the muscle, causing the lip to gently roll upward and outward, giving the appearance of a fuller upper lip without adding volume. It's ideal for people who want subtle definition, or whose upper lip disappears when they smile. Results last about 8 to 10 weeks.

Facial dermal fillers: what they do beyond the lips

Dermal fillers can do much more than enhance lips. Placed in the cheeks, they restore the lift and structure that age-related volume loss softens. In the chin and jawline, they refine contour and balance facial proportions. In the temples, they smooth hollowing that can age the face. In the nasolabial folds, they soften deep creases. The best plans treat the face as a whole, often with results that look like rest, not work.

Filler Education
Myth Busting

"Filler will make me look fake." Let's talk about this.

The filler you notice is the filler that went wrong, not the filler done well. When placed correctly and in appropriate amounts for your anatomy, filler should be invisible. You should look like yourself, only refreshed. The "done" look comes from overfilling, poor technique, or treating areas that weren't indicated. A good injector will tell you when to stop.

Myth Busting
Myth Busting

"If I stop getting Botox, my face will look worse."

This is one of the most common myths. If you stop getting Botox, your face will gradually return to its pre-treatment state, nothing more. In fact, regular use of neuromodulators can actually slow the formation of lines over time by retraining muscles. There's no rebound, no dependency, and no "wearing out" of your skin.

Myth Busting
Before & After

How to prepare for your injectable appointment

In the 24 to 48 hours before your appointment: avoid blood thinners like ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, and vitamin E if possible (check with your doctor). Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Come with a clean face (no heavy makeup). If you're prone to bruising, arnica supplements may help. Arrive hydrated and have a light meal beforehand. Most importantly, come with your questions.

Preparation Guide
Before & After

Aftercare for filler: what to do (and what to avoid)

For the first 24 hours after filler: avoid touching or pressing on the treated area, skip intense exercise, saunas, and hot showers. Avoid alcohol and blood thinners. Light swelling and bruising is normal. It typically peaks at 48 to 72 hours and resolves within 1 to 2 weeks. Sleep on your back if you can. Arnica gel can help with bruising. Your final result is best assessed at 2 weeks.

Aftercare Guide
Before & After

What does swelling after filler actually look like?

Swelling is a normal part of the healing process, especially with lip filler, where it can be quite dramatic in the first few days. Lips can appear up to twice the intended size on day 1 to 2. This is temporary. By day 5 to 7, most swelling has settled. Your final, true result is at the 2-week mark. Always judge your results at 2 weeks, not immediately after treatment.

Recovery
Skincare

What is a chemical peel, and which one is right for you?

Chemical peels use acids (like glycolic, lactic, or salicylic acid) to dissolve the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, accelerating cell turnover. Superficial peels target the very top layer of skin, improving texture and glow with minimal downtime. Medium-depth peels go deeper, addressing pigmentation and acne scarring. The right peel depends on your skin type, concern, and tolerance.

How microneedling works, and why it's worth it

Microneedling uses a device with tiny sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers your body's wound-healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The result: firmer, smoother, more even skin over time. It's effective for textural concerns, enlarged pores, acne scarring, and early signs of ageing. A course of 3 sessions is recommended for best results.

Treatment Guide
Skincare

What is PRP, and why use it during microneedling?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is the concentrated, growth-factor-rich portion of your own blood. A small sample is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood cells, and then applied to the skin during microneedling. The microchannels created by the needling let the growth factors absorb deeply, amplifying collagen stimulation and accelerating healing. Because PRP comes from you, there is no question of compatibility, only your body's own repair signals turned up.

Regenerative Skin
Skincare

PRP vs PRF: what's the difference?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is the next evolution of PRP. PRP is prepared with an anticoagulant and spun at a higher speed, producing a liquid rich in platelets. PRF skips the anticoagulant and is spun more gently, which preserves a wider range of growth factors, white blood cells, and even stem cells, and forms a slower-releasing fibrin matrix. The result tends to be a more sustained, deeper regenerative effect over the weeks that follow. Whether PRP or PRF suits you is a conversation with Angela.

Regenerative Skin
Skincare

PRP for the under-eye area, explained

The under-eye is delicate and thin, which is why dark circles, hollowing, and crepiness show up there so visibly. A targeted PRP treatment (without microneedling) places growth factors from your own blood into this area to gradually improve skin quality, brightness, and the look of dark circles. It is not an instant fix. A series of 3 sessions, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart, produces the most meaningful improvement, with results best assessed at 6 to 8 weeks after the final session.

Regenerative Skin
Skincare

Pluryal skin boosters: Refresh vs Radiance

Skin boosters are concentrated, professional-grade serums delivered during microneedling. While the microchannels are open, the active ingredients absorb meaningfully deeper than they could on intact skin. Refresh is hydration-focused, designed for plumped, dewy skin and best for tired or dehydrated complexions. Radiance is brightening-focused, designed for a more even tone and a luminous glow, and best for uneven tone or a pre-event boost. Both are $75 add-ons to basic microneedling only, not with PRP or PRF.

Add-On Guide
Before & After

Planning a regenerative series for a wedding or event

Regenerative treatments like microneedling, PRP, PRF, and PRP for the under-eye area build their best results over a series of 3 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. For a wedding or major event, that means starting roughly 4 to 5 months out, with the final session ideally 4 to 6 weeks before the event so the skin has time to fully settle and any redness or flaking has resolved. Pair the timeline with a calm at-home routine and reliable SPF, and your skin shows up at its best.

Event Planning
Myth Busting

"You have to be a certain age to start injectables."

There's no universal right age. It depends on your individual skin, anatomy, and goals. Some people benefit from preventative Botox in their mid-20s to slow the formation of dynamic lines. Others don't start until their 40s or 50s and see equally wonderful results. A good injector won't pressure you. They'll help you understand your options and let you decide what feels right for you.

Myth Busting
Patient Q&A Library

Real questions. Real answers.

Questions our patients actually ask, kept anonymous and answered honestly. Educational only. Whether something applies to you is the conversation to have with Angela.

Will Botox make my forehead look frozen?Injectables

Only if that is the look you want. Botox can be dosed for full softening with very little visible movement, or for a more natural finish where lines soften but you keep most of your expression. Neither is right or wrong, it is a matter of personal preference. Some clients love the smooth, polished look of fuller relaxation, others want subtle softening with their natural movement preserved. The conversation with Angela starts with the look you are after, and the treatment plan is built around that, not around a one-size answer.

How long does lip filler actually last?Injectables

Most hyaluronic acid lip fillers last 6 to 12 months for visible volume. The product breaks down slowly with movement, metabolism, and other factors. Your body still has hyaluronic acid in those tissues for longer than the visible result lasts, which is why touch-ups tend to need a little less product than the original treatment. Final timing depends on your metabolism and the product family used.

Does it hurt?Injectables

Most patients describe lip filler as a sharp pinch and warmth, not a deep pain. Topical numbing is applied beforehand. Many fillers also contain lidocaine, which numbs the area further once injection begins. Neuromodulator injections use smaller needles and most patients find them very manageable. We do not promise zero discomfort, but we do everything reasonable to minimize it.

What if I don't like my filler result?Injectables

Hyaluronic acid filler is reversible. An enzyme called hyaluronidase can dissolve it, partially or completely, in clinic. The change is visible within hours. For other treatments, results either fade over time (neuromodulators) or evolve as your skin heals (peels, microneedling). Honest conversation about expected outcomes happens before treatment, every time.

Can I get filler if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?Injectables

Not at Kallos & Co. Although there is no strong evidence of harm, there is also no strong evidence of safety, and that is enough for us to defer. We are happy to plan with you for after you finish breastfeeding, or after the postpartum period. There are skincare-only options that may suit you in the meantime. This is something to talk about openly in your consultation.

Where do I even start with skincare?Skincare

Three layers do most of the heavy lifting: a gentle cleanser, a single active ingredient, and broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher daily. Use vitamin C in the morning or a retinoid at night, but not both in the same evening when you are starting. Do that consistently for 12 weeks before adding anything else. Most skincare problems are solved by doing less, well.

When should I start using retinol?Skincare

There is no universal right age. If your skin is concerned about texture, fine lines, sun damage, or acne, a retinoid can help. Many people benefit from starting in their mid to late 20s as part of long-term care. Build up slowly: twice a week to start, then every other night, then nightly only if your skin tolerates it. Use sunscreen daily without exception.

Is microneedling actually worth it?Skincare

For texture, pore appearance, acne scarring, and overall firmness, yes, when done as a series. A single session feels nice, but a three-session course is what triggers meaningful collagen rebuilding. Real results show up at 4 to 12 weeks per session, and they compound over the series. It is not a substitute for daily sun protection or consistent skincare, but it is a strong adjunct.

Can I drink alcohol before my appointment? Before & After

Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours before. Alcohol thins the blood, which increases the risk of bruising and swelling. The same applies to ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, and certain herbal supplements (check with your doctor before stopping anything you take regularly). Drink water generously instead, and eat a real meal before you come in.

How long should I wait between filler and a big event? Before & After

We generally recommend at least 2 weeks for filler, longer if you are getting more substantial treatment. Swelling peaks at 48 to 72 hours, most settles within a week, and the final result is visible at 2 weeks. For a wedding or major event, plan 6 to 8 weeks ahead so you can fine-tune anything that needs adjustment. For lighter touch-ups, 3 to 4 weeks is usually enough.

Can I exercise after Botox?Before & After

Skip vigorous exercise for the rest of the treatment day. Increased blood flow can theoretically affect the placement of the product as it integrates. Light walking is fine. By the next day, normal exercise is back on the table. The same window applies to saunas, hot showers, and lying flat for several hours.

What does aftercare actually look like for filler? Before & After

For the first 24 hours: do not touch or press on the area, skip exercise, saunas, and hot showers, avoid alcohol and blood thinners. Sleep on your back if you can. Light swelling, bruising, and tenderness are normal and peak at 48 to 72 hours. Most patients see their final result at 2 weeks. Detailed day-by-day expectations are in our Recovery Calendar.

Will my face look saggy if I stop getting Botox?Myth Busting

No. If you stop getting Botox, your face gradually returns to its pre-treatment state, nothing worse. There is no rebound and no acceleration of aging from stopping. In fact, consistent use over years can slow the formation of certain lines because the muscles have spent less time creating them. There is no dependency or withdrawal.

Is filler permanent?Myth Busting

Hyaluronic acid filler is not permanent. It breaks down over months to years depending on the product family and the area treated. Lip filler lasts 6 to 12 months on average. Cheek and chin fillers can last 12 to 24 months. Permanent fillers exist in other parts of the world but they are rarely used in Canada because they are very hard to correct if something goes wrong. We use only Health Canada approved hyaluronic acid products at Kallos & Co.

I see celebrities with obvious filler. Will I end up looking like that?Myth Busting

What you see is overfilling, layered treatments over many years without breaks, or treatment in areas that were not indicated for that person's face. None of that happens by accident. It happens because someone said yes when they should have said no, repeatedly. We say no when it matters. The filler you should be looking for is the filler you do not notice.

What can facial dermal filler actually do for my face?Injectables

Facial dermal filler can restore the volume that softens with age, refine contour, and support the underlying architecture of the face. Common areas include the cheeks (lift and structure), chin (projection and balance), jawline (definition), temples (smoothing hollowing), and nasolabial folds (softening deep creases). The strongest plans treat the face as a whole, not isolated zones. Often the best result for a concern in one area comes from treating another.

How many syringes will I need for cheeks or jawline?Injectables

That depends on your face, your goals, and your starting point. Some plans use a single syringe, others span two or more across one or more sessions. Angela assesses this in consultation, and discusses pacing, including whether to spread treatment across more than one appointment. Package pricing is available at Kallos & Co when two or more syringes are part of your plan.

How long does cheek or jawline filler last?Injectables

Hyaluronic acid filler in the cheeks and jawline typically lasts 12 to 18 months, sometimes longer. These are areas of relatively less movement compared to the lips, which is why the product breaks down more slowly here. Your metabolism, the specific product family used, and how the area moves all influence longevity.

What is PRP, and is it actually safe?Skincare

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is the concentrated, growth-factor-rich portion of your own blood. A small sample is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, and then applied to the skin during a microneedling treatment. Because the material comes from your own body, there is no question of compatibility, only your own repair signals being concentrated and delivered where they can work. The risks are similar to any blood draw and any microneedling treatment, and a thorough consultation covers what to expect.

Should I do PRP or PRF microneedling?Skincare

Both are derived from your own blood. PRP is prepared with an anticoagulant and tends to deliver a strong, rapid boost of growth factors. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) skips the anticoagulant and is spun more gently, which preserves a wider range of growth factors, white blood cells, and even stem cells, and releases them more slowly through a fibrin matrix. The result tends to be a more sustained regenerative effect. Which suits you depends on your goals, your skin, and your timeline. That is a conversation for your consultation with Angela.

Can PRP really help my dark circles?Skincare

For dark circles related to skin quality and thinning, PRP for the under-eye area can gradually improve brightness, skin thickness, and overall quality of the tissue. It is not an instant fix, and it will not address every cause of dark circles, since pigmentation and structural concerns are different conversations. Results build over a series of 3 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with the most meaningful improvement assessed 6 to 8 weeks after the final session. Whether this is the right approach for your specific concern is a conversation with Angela.

What is a Pluryal skin booster, and how do I choose Refresh or Radiance?Skincare

Pluryal skin boosters are concentrated, professional-grade serums delivered into the skin during a microneedling treatment. The microchannels created by the needling let the active ingredients absorb meaningfully deeper than they could on intact skin. Refresh is hydration-focused, best for tired or dehydrated skin and a plumped, dewy finish. Radiance is brightening-focused, best for uneven tone or a pre-event glow. Both are $75 add-ons to basic microneedling only, not with PRP or PRF. Angela can help you choose at your appointment.

How far ahead of my wedding should I book PRP, PRF, or microneedling? Before & After

These treatments build their best results across a series of 3 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Start roughly 4 to 5 months out, with the final session ideally 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding. That gives your skin time to fully settle, any temporary redness or flaking to resolve, and the collagen-rebuilding response to peak right as you are walking down the aisle. Pair the timeline with consistent SPF and a calm at-home routine, and your skin shows up at its best.

What does recovery look like after PRP or PRF microneedling? Before & After

Expect skin that looks warm, red, and slightly swollen on treatment day, similar to a sunburn, plus a small bruise at the blood draw site. Most surface redness fades within 24 to 48 hours. Mild flaking can appear in the days that follow. By day 7, surface healing is complete, while the deeper collagen and tissue remodelling continues for weeks. Avoid actives, exfoliation, and sun exposure during the first week, and use only the gentle moisturizer and SPF Angela recommends.

"PRP is the same as a vampire facial I saw online."Myth Busting

The "vampire facial" branding refers loosely to PRP applied during microneedling, but the social media version often leaves out the important parts: how the blood was collected, whether the equipment was sterile, who is qualified to perform the treatment, and what regulatory standards apply. At Kallos & Co, PRP and PRF are performed by Angela, a Registered Practical Nurse, using sterile single-use equipment under medical directive. That is the difference between a treatment and a trend.

Registered Practical Nurse · Certified Cosmetic Injector

My journey back to nursing school was fuelled by a clear mission. I knew I wanted to become a cosmetic injector. Even when it meant long hours, late nights, and balancing life's busiest seasons, I stayed focused on the vision.

I've always believed in the power of aesthetics to transform more than just appearances. It can restore confidence, celebrate natural beauty, and support overall well-being. That belief is what led me to create Kallos & Co.

🎓 Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Certified & Licensed

Safety Standards

Safety isn't a feature.
It's the foundation.

How we keep you safe at Kallos & Co. The clinician, the products, the protocols, the boundaries, and how to reach Angela if something feels off.

01

The clinician.

Every injection at Kallos & Co is performed by Angela Hough, RPN. She holds a registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, the regulatory body for nursing practice in the province.

Ongoing education is not optional. Injectable technique, anatomy, and adverse-event management evolve quickly, and Angela commits to continuing education in each of these areas year after year. Specifics of her training and ongoing certifications are happy to be shared in consultation.

02

Regulatory framework.

Cosmetic injection is a controlled act under Ontario's Regulated Health Professions Act. At Kallos & Co, this controlled act is performed by a Registered Practical Nurse under medical directive, with physician oversight as required by Ontario law.

This is not a marketing claim. It is the regulatory basis for delivering injectable care in this province, and it shapes everything from who can perform the act to how complications must be managed.

03

Products.

Every product used at Kallos & Co is Health Canada approved. Nothing off-label, nothing imported from outside Canadian regulatory channels.

Each product lot is traceable in your record, so if there is ever a safety advisory from the manufacturer or Health Canada, we know exactly who received what. Storage follows manufacturer specification, with temperature-controlled handling from delivery to injection.

The specific product chosen for you (neuromodulator brand, filler family, biostimulator if used) is selected in consultation based on the area, the goal, and what your face is best suited for. Brand preference is never imposed without explanation.

04

Treatment setting.

Treatments take place in a dedicated, prepared space, cleaned between every patient. Needles and syringes are single-use, never re-used. Sharps go into biohazard containers and are picked up by a licensed medical waste service.

Hand hygiene and skin antisepsis happen before every injection, every time. There are no exceptions for "small" treatments. The standard applies whether it is one unit or a full face.

05

Before your treatment.

Every treatment is preceded by:

  • A thorough medical and medication history
  • Discussion of allergies, recent illness, recent dental work, and travel
  • Standardized clinical photography, kept in your confidential record
  • Written informed consent specific to the treatment
  • A pre-treatment review of what we plan, what to expect, and what could go wrong

If anything in your history raises a concern, the appropriate response is sometimes to defer treatment. That conversation is honest, not transactional. You will not be pressured to proceed.

06

When something feels off.

Most recoveries are uneventful. When they are not, time matters. Contact Angela immediately if you notice any of the following:

  • Severe pain that does not respond to usual measures
  • Skin that turns white, dusky, or grey near the injection site
  • Vision changes of any kind
  • Sudden numbness, weakness, or facial asymmetry that worsens after day 3
  • Trouble breathing, swelling of the throat, or signs of an allergic reaction
  • Fever, spreading redness, or signs of infection
  • Drooping eyelid or brow that gets worse rather than better

If symptoms are severe or you cannot reach Angela quickly, seek emergency care. For HA filler complications specifically, the reversal enzyme hyaluronidase is available and can be administered in clinic when indicated.

Calling early is always the right move. There is no such thing as bothering us about a complication concern.

07

What we will not do.

There are situations where the right answer is no, even when a patient is ready. We will not treat:

  • Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless explicitly cleared with their physician for a specific treatment
  • Patients under the influence of alcohol or other substances
  • Patients seeking a result that anatomy will not safely deliver
  • Patients with active infection at the treatment site
  • Patients whose consent is not freely or clearly given

We will also not chase trends that do not suit your face, or sell you more than you need. Saying no is part of doing this well.

08

Privacy and records.

Your medical record is confidential. Clinical photographs are stored securely and are never shared without your explicit written consent. You have the right to request a copy of your record at any time.

Personal health information is handled in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). The Kallos & Co AI concierge does not store identifying personal health information from your chats; any consultation brief you choose to send to Angela is sent with your explicit opt-in.

Questions, before you sit down.

If anything on this page raises a question, those are exactly the questions to bring to your consultation. Angela welcomes them. The willingness to ask hard questions is a sign you are working with the right injector.
